Competition Team

For dancers ready to go beyond recreational classes, our Competition Team combines elite training, teamwork, and exciting opportunities to perform on regional and national stages

What to expect

Competition classes meet once a week and dancers rehearse with their team levels — Red, Silver, and Black — based on skill. Each team prepares it’s designated team dance for competitions and rehearses other competition numbers - solos, duos, trios - as rehearsal time permits.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Minimum age: 5 years old

  • Must be enrolled in a Ballet/Jazz class to qualify for the team

  • Strong commitment to attendance and rehearsals

  • Additional time for competitions, dress rehearsals, and performances

Invitation-only events include Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), where select PDP dancers have had the opportunity to perform at one of the most prestigious ballet competitions in the world.
